Where does Class Act Charters fish?

We fish the Chesapeake Bay area, including Chesapeake Bay, Piankatank River, Tangier Sound, Fishing Bay, Mobjack Bay, York River.


What are the target fish?

Target fish include Black Drum (Also Called Drum, Drummer), Bluefish (Also Called Elf, Tailor, Shad), Cobia (Also Called Black Salmon, Crab Eater, Lemon Fish, Sergeant Fish  ), Redfish (Also Called Red Drum, Channel Bass, Spottail Bass), Sea Bass (Also Called Black Seabass), Sheepshead  (Also Called Convict Fish, Sheephead  ), Tautog  (Also Called Blackfish, Oyster-fish, Chub, Black Porgy), Spanish Mackerel (Also Called Atlantic Spanish Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel)

Do I need a STATE Fishing license?

Yes, a Fishing license is required


Where do I get a STATE Fishing license?

A Virginia fishing license is required for individuals aged 16 years or older. Licenses are required for both salt and freshwater fishing and additional stamps may be required when targeting certain species such as Trout.Combination licenses are also available. Anglers fishing with a licensed guide in saltwater will not need a license. Please visit the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources website for more information and to purchase your license.

How much should I Tip?

It is customary to tip 20% of the trip total. We work tirelessly to make sure you have a guest experience!


Do I need to bring my own gear?

No, we provide standard gear such as rods and reels so you don’t need to worry about anything. But please feel free to bring you own gear if you prefer.
